Citizen Information Meeting: I-81 Exits 245 & 247 Interchange Alternatives Analysis Study

The Harrisonburg-Rockingham Metropolitan Planning Organization (HRMPO) in partnership with the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT), the City of Harrisonburg, and James Madison University (JMU) have identified the need for interchange modifications on Interstate 81 at Exit 245 (State Route 253/Port Republic Road) and Exit 247 (U.S. Route 33/East Market Street). Both interchanges fall within the corporate limits of the City of Harrisonburg and provide access to existing and developing commercial/employment and residential areas of the City of Harrisonburg and Rockingham County as well as the JMU campus.

Public Information Meeting - March 26, 2015

The Harrisonburg-Rockingham Metropolitan Planning Organization (HRMPO) has rescheduled the public information meeting regarding the I-81 Exits 245 and 247 Interchange Alternatives Analysis Study. Please note the time and location have also changed. The meeting will take place on March 26, 2015, 5:30-7:30pm, at the Rockingham County Department of Fire and Rescue Classroom in the Rockingham County Administration Center, 20 East Gay Street, Harrisonburg, Virginia.

All members of the public are invited to attend this public information meeting and to provide their input on this study.
