Start Smart SoccerStart Smart Soccer

Registration will open on November 29 for City Residents, and December 13 for Non-Residents.  Limited spots available. Start Smart Soccer is a developmentally appropriate introductory soccer program for children 3-4 years old. The program prepares children for organized soccer in a fun, non-threatening environment. Start Smart Soccer prepares children and their parents for organized soccer without the threat of competition or the fear of getting hurt.   • Program Sessions Include:
    • Wednesday, April 20-May 25 from 5:30pm-6:15pm
    • Thursday, April 21-May 26 from 5:30pm-6:15pm
  • The City Resident rate will be $30, and the Non-Resident rate will be $40. Registration fee includes participant equipment (cleats are not provided).

The program prepares children for organized football in a fun, non-threatening environment. Start Smart Football prepares children and their parents for organized football without the threat of competition or the fear of getting hurt. Age appropriate equipment is used in teaching throwing, catching, kicking/punting and running/agility.

Registration will open on November 15 for City Residents, and November 29 for Non-Residents.  Limited spots available.  Start Smart Basketball is a developmentally appropriate introductory basketball program for children 3-4 years old. The program prepares children for organized basketball in a fun, non-threatening environment. Age appropriate equipment is used in teaching ground strokes, serving, volleying and running/agility.

 

 

SS GolfStart Smart Golf

Start Smart Sports Development

The Start Smart Sports Development Program was the first developed by the National Alliance for Youth Sports. The skills are not specific to any one particular sport. Skills learned and developed in this program will benefit the participants in a variety of sports. The popularity of this program led to the development of the sport-specific programs now offered. The is a developmentally appropriate introductory sports program for children 3-5 years old. The program prepares children and their parents for organized sports in a fun, non-threatening environment. Age appropriate equipment from is utilized in the program. Sports skills developed in this program are: throwing, catching, batting and kicking.
