City of Harrisonburg offices will be closed Thursday, January 1, 2026 in observance of the New Year's holiday. City offices will reopen Friday, January 2 at 8:00am.
Refuse collection for Thursday, January 1, 2026 will occur on Friday, January 2. The Recycling Convenience Center and Mobile Unit will be closed Thursday, January 1.
The new sanitation schedule will take place on Monday, January 5, 2026. Please schedule all bulk and yard debris pickups online using ReCollect.
Bus service: There will be no bus service on New Year's Day (January 1).
