The following city fees have been divided into four sections, Building and Trade Permit Fees, Engineering Plan Fees, Planning and Zoning Fees, and Other City Fees. Please use the links to find more information about each of the fees.

Site Development Procedures and Required Documents

 


 

BUILDING & TRADES PERMIT FEES:

Building Permits (A nonrefundable state levy fee of 2% shall be added to each permit.)

 

Value: $0.00 - $2,000.00:  $60.00

Value: $2,000.01 and Above:  $60.00 for the first $2,000.00 plus $6.00 for each additional $1,000.00 or fraction thereof.

For each accessory structure (Detached garages, sheds, etc.):  Value or $60.00 minimum

Swimming Pools:

Residential:  Value or $60.00 minimum

Commercial:  Value or $180.00 minimum

For Moving any building or structure:  Value or $180.00 minimum

For Demolition:  Value or $60.00 minimum

For each Elevator, Escalator, Lift, or Moving Walk:  Value or $60.00 minimum

For each set of Supplemental or amended plans requiring review; i.e. fire suppression, insulation, truss drawings, or other:  Value or $60.00 minimum

For each Temporary Certificate of Occupancy issued for Residential (R-5):  $80.00 per 45 days

For each Temporary Certificate of Occupancy issued for Commercial:  $180.00 per 45 days

For each Certificate of Occupancy issued for existing buildings requiring inspections:  $90.00

For each copy of an existing Certificate of Occupancy or replacement of an existing Certificate of Occupancy:  $10.00

Preliminary Plan Review Fees:  $120.00 per submission

Miscellaneous Building Permit Fees:

Resubmittal for Rejected plans for re-review:  $60.00

Where no specific fee is listed, the fee shall be based on:  Value or $60.00 minimum

For each re-inspection (said fee shall be paid prior to the additional inspection being given):  $50.00

Single-Family Dwellings:  $54.00

Duplex Single-Family dwellings (per unit):  $54.00

Single-Family townhouse (per townhouse):  $54.00

Single-Family Condominium (per unit):  $54.00

Multi-Family Apartments (per unit):  $54.00

Commercial New Construction, Additions, and Alterations

Value: $0.00 to $2,000.00:  $60.00 (minimum fee)

Value: $2,000.01 and above:  $60.00 for the first $2,000.00 plus $6.00 for each additional $1,000.00 or fraction thereof.

Miscellaneous Electrical Permit Fees:

Fees for residential additions or alterations shall be calculated on the commercial fee schedule.

For each re-inspection (said fee shall be paid prior to the additional inspection being given):  $50.00

Where no specific fee is listed for a project; the fee shall be based on:  Value or minimum $60.00

Mechanical Permits (A non-refundable state levy fee of 2% shall be added to each permit.)

Residential

Single family dwellings:  $54.00

Duplex single-family dwelling (per unit):  $54.00

Single-family townhouse (per townhouse):  $54.00

Single-family condominium (per unit):  $54.00

Multi-family apartments (per unit):  $54.00

For secondary heat source (complete) in any residence (i.e. gas logs, wood stoves, solar photovoltaic, hydronic, etc.):  $36.00 additional

Commercial

Value $0.00 to $2,000.00:  $60.00 (minimum)

Value $2,001.00 and above:  $60.00 for the first $2,000.00 plus $6.00 for each additional $1,000.00 or fraction thereof

For each natural gas service:  $18.00 additional

For each LP gas service:  $18.00 additional

For each furnace or boiler:  $18.00 additional

For each Residential Fuel Oil Tank installed (above or below ground):  $18.00 additional

For underground storage tanks:  Value or $90.00 minimum

For above ground storage tanks:  Value or $90.00 minimum

For secondary heat sources (i.e. gas logs, wood stoves, etc.):  Value or $60.00 minimum

Abandonment of underground storage tanks:  Value or $60.00 minimum

For each range hood installed:  Value or $60.00 minimum

For each exhaust hood installed (range, dishwasher, etc.):  Value or $60.00 minimum

For each hood suppression system installed:  Value or $60.00 minimum

Miscellaneous Mechanical Permit Fees:

Fees for residential or commercial additions or alterations shall be calculated on the commercial fee schedule.

For each re-inspection (said fee shall be paid prior to the additional inspection being given:  $50.00

Where no specific fee is listed for a project, the fee shall be based on:  Value or minimum $60.00

Administrative Fee for all other requests not specifically listed:  $60.00

Value means the value determined by using the "New Complete Commercial" portion of the above fee schedule.

All fees shall be paid for at the time the permit is issued.

Residential New Construction

Single Family Dwellings:  $54.00

Duplex single-family dwellings (per unit):  $54.00

Single-family townhouse (per townhouse):  $54.00

Single-family condominium (per unit):  $54.00

Multi-family apartments (per unit):  $54.00

Commercial New Construction, Additions, and Alterations

For issuing each permit:  $60.00

For each fixture connected to the sanitary sewer:  $6.00

For each building sewer having to be replaced or repaired:  $6.00

For each water service (from meter to building, or portion thereof) having to be replaced or repaired:  $6.00

For each water heater being installed or replaced:  $6.00

For each septic tank and seepage pit or drain field:  $30.00

Miscellaneous Plumbing Permit Fees:

Fees for residential shall be calculated on the commercial fee schedule.

For each re-inspection (said fee shall be paid prior to the additional inspection being given):  $50.00

Where no specific fee is listed, the fee shall be:  Value or $60.00 minimum

Administrative Fee for all other requests not specifically listed:  $60.00

Comprehensive Site Plan

Site Plan for new commercial, industrial and institutional site:  $300.00 plus $25.00 per acre

Site Plan for new multi-family residential and all other residential:  $400.00 plus $10.00 per dwelling unit

Resubmittal of plan with minor revision:  $100.00

Resubmittal of Withheld Site Plan:  $300.00 plus

10,000 square feet to 1 acre:  $300.00 per request

Each additional acre or fraction thereof:  $50.00 per request

Sign Permit (A state levy fee of 2.00% must be added to each permit.)

$50.00 up to first $1000 value of sign, then $20.00 for each additional $1000 value of sign or portion thereafter.

Major Subdivision (Preliminary Plat): 

without variance request: $175.00 plus $20.00 per lot

with variance request(s): $200.00 plus $20.00 per lot

Minor Subdivision:  $150.00 plus $20.00 per lot

Final Plat:  $150 plus $20.00 per lot
