Tip 411
Tip 411 is anonymous reporting software that allows residents to submit tips and access agency alerts, social media channels, and important crime information to help make Harrisonburg a safer place. By downloading the Harrisonburg PD app, community members can fight crime from the palm of their hands and improve communication between citizens and the police. This reporting system allows the public to share anonymous tips with HPD officers and engage in two-way conversations through messaging and the mobile app. The Harrisonburg PD app and the Tip 411 anonymous text-a-tip system are completely anonymous, as the technology removes all identifying information before we receive the tips, and there is no way to identify the sender.
Submitting A Tip
Tips can be submitted anonymously by texting HPDVA and your tip to 847411.
Tips can also be submitted anonymously through the Harrisonburg PD app, available on both Apple's App Store and Google Play Store.
Crime Alerts
Harrisonburg PD app users will also have access to crime alerts and special information regarding incidents within the City of Harrisonburg. Receiving alerts is voluntary upon downloading the app.
