Individuals owning a dog within the City of Harrisonburg are required to obtain a dog license for each dog he/she owns pursuant Section 15-2-8 of the Harrisonburg City Code. It shall be the responsibility of the owner to present a valid Rabies Certificate signed by a licensed veterinarian for each dog. A rabies vaccination is required pursuant Section 15-2-6 of the Harrisonburg City Code.
