Start Smart Soccer 
Registration opens April 14 for City Residents and April 28 for Non-Residents for Summer Sessions. Start Smart Soccer is a developmentally appropriate introductory soccer program for children 3-4 years old. The program prepares children for organized soccer in a fun, non-threatening environment. Start Smart Soccer prepares children and their parents for organized soccer without the threat of competition or the fear of getting hurt. Age appropriate equipment is used to teach kicking, dribbling, trapping, throw-ins, and agility. - The rate will be $30 for City Residents and $60 for Non-Residents. Registration fee includes participant equipment (cleats are not provided).

- Session 2: August 4-9 (Monday-Friday) - 6:15pm-7:00pm
- The program will take place at the Smithland Athletic Complex.
U5 and U6 Youth Soccer League
Spring registration closes on May 21 (Fall registration opens May 27). This is an introductory league for ages 5-6 (age as of April 1). Participants will have a mix of practices and games throughout the season. Participants will be placed on teams by the league administrator. The league will be split into a boys and girls division. For additional information on this program, call 540-433-9168.
- Spring Season will begin in April and end in June. Fall Session will take place September-October.
- The City Resident rate will be $30, and the Non-Resident rate will be $60. Registration fee includes participant equipment (cleats are not provided).

Summer Youth Soccer Camp
Develop and improve your soccer knowledge and skills. Youth will be taught individual and team skills during drills and games. Campers are required to bring a filled water bottle. Age is determined as of June 1.
- Ages 7-8 / June 9-13 / M-F / 9:00am-11:00am
- Ages 9-10 / July 17-25 / M-F / 9:00am-11:00am
- Registration is $15/player, City Residents only (if not filled, Non-Residents may fill remaining spots).
- Camp will take place at the Smithland Athletic Complex.
