Date: Tuesday, November 19 and Wednesday, November 20
Time: 11am to 1pm
Location: City Hall Lobby, 409 S Main St, Harrisonburg, VA 22801
The City of Harrisonburg’s Public Works Department is hosting two upcoming workshops to provide resources on the Harrisonburg Conservation Assistance Program (HCAP).
HCAP is a new program that provides cost-share funds and technical assistance to property owners installing stormwater projects in Harrisonburg. The deadline to apply is February 3, 2020. Staff will be in the City Hall Lobby on Tuesday, November 19 and Wednesday, November 20 from 11:00am to 1:00pm. Interested property owners are invited to stop by at any time during the workshop to discuss the practices that are available through HCAP and what might work best on their properties. HCAP practices include: rain gardens, permeable pavement, rainwater harvesting, and more. Staff will help interested property owners fill out a site visit request form to schedule a site visit.
The focus of the workshops is the Harrisonburg Conservation Assistance Program; however, information and applications for the Drainage Improvement Program and Stormwater Utility Fee Credit Program will also be available. If you are not able to attend the workshops but would still like more information, please contact the Public Works Department at 540-434-5928.
