Have a positive impact on your community! Volunteer for the Arbor Day *revisited* event on Saturday, October 24 from 10:00am until noon, the Public Works Department will be hosting a volunteer event to plant 50 trees along the recently completed Phase I segment of the Northend Greenway trail. This section of the trail follows a portion of Blacks Run and the tree planting will provide shade along the trail and enhance the natural aesthetics in the area.
Members of the community are invited to participate in the tree planting event. Supplies will be provided, but participants are encouraged to bring gardening gloves and shovels if they have them. Please wear weather-appropriate clothing and shoes you don't mind getting dirty. Due to COVID-19 restrictions participation is limited to the first 45 volunteers to register. If we have an overwhelming response we will organize a second event as increasing the tree canopy and promoting tree diversity throughout the City is an important initiative for Public Works.
Participants will need to sign a waiver form, waivers will be signed on Saturday prior to beginning the planting.
Please register online for this event.

Our traditional Arbor Day, which was scheduled for April, was canceled due to COVID-19. We are pleased to be able to revisit the event this way.
