Located 15 miles west on US Route 33, Riven Rock Park sits on 27 acres, including four picnic shelters, natural surface trails, horseshoes, individual picnic sites, and comfort stations.
Ralph Sampson Park has two picnic shelters, restroom facilities, two tennis courts, three basketball courts, playground equipment, a sports field, and horseshoe pits.
Located on North Willow Street and 2nd Street, Morrison Park is a six acre park featuring a basketball court, picnic shelter, large playground area, two tennis/pickleball courts, and a restrooms facility.
Located off of Route 42 south on Hillandale Avenue, this 74 acre park has 12 picnic shelters, playground equipment, and a 1.3 mile walking trail.
Purcell Park has three softball/baseball fields, four tennis courts, two playground areas, three picnic shelters, several restrooms, and a 1.5 mile walking trail.
This 48 acre park is home to the Westover Swimming Pool Complex, the Cecil F. Gilkerson Community Activities Center, the Westover Skate Park, and an 18-hole Disc Golf Course.
Reservations may be made by visiting the Harrisonburg Parks and Recreation Administrative Office or calling 540-433-2474. Shelters cannot be reserved online.
