Our vision for Safe Routes to School in Harrisonburg is equitable and sustainable programming that supports, encourages, and ultimately increases safe active transportation among K-12 students.
These maps were utilized in 2023 and served as guides to help parents select a route for their student to walk or bike to school. Each map includes landmarks, recommended gathering locations where families might meet up and walk or bike to school together, and approximate distance and travel time between the gathering locations and the school.
