Harrisonburg was selected in September 2023 to be the recipient of a Community Connectors Program grant through national nonprofit Smart Growth America and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation.
The Virginia Department of Health will hold a free COVID-19 testing event, by appointment only, on Friday, August 14, in Harrisonburg.
Free Covid-19 testing will take place at Harrisonburg High School, 1001 Garbers Church Road. Drivers should follow signage to the south side of the campus to enter the testing area.
Harrisonburg residents will be able to receive free COVID-19 masks on Tuesday, June 30, from 10:00am to 2:00pm at the Waterman Square Shopping Center, at West Market Street and Waterman Drive.
Testing will take place on Duke Drive at James Madison University. Drivers should take MLK Jr. Way to Paul Street to access Duke Drive.
