Join us in celebrating Halloween with your family at home by participating in Harrisonburg Parks and Recreation’s Jack-O-Lantern Contest! Not only will you have a blast participating, top entries will win a prize!

Join Harrisonburg Parks and Recreation and Public Works departments for a Job Fair on February 25 from 3-8pm at the Lucy F. Simms Continuing Education Center , 620 Simms Avenue.

Join us from 11:00am-2:00pm for food, music and help us celebrate the community at Liberty Park!

To celebrate the past 65 years of Harrisonburg Parks and Recreation, staff has organized a 65th Anniversary Kick Off Celebration event along with activities and projects to continue through the entire year!

*This event has been cancelled for this year. The Scholarship Superhero Four Miler is a race that raises money for Harrisonburg Parks and Recreation's new community scholarship program. We encourage you to show off your super speed and come to this race dressed as your favorite superhero!

As part of National Recreation and Park Association initiatives, Harrisonburg City has recognized July as Harrisonburg Parks and Recreation Month!

Children ages 3-6 are invited to participate in this 100 yard fun run to kickoff the Shamrock 5K Trail Run.

Come dressed in your best costume and race around Smithland Soccer Complex!
