City of Harrisonburg offices will be closed in observance of Independence Day on Friday, July 3. View trash collection changes and other notices from city departments.
Annual Smoke Alarm and Free Pizza Night

City residents can order one large cheese pizza to be delivered by fire personnel on July 8th. Firefighters will also check to see if the resident’s smoke alarm is working properly.
Planning Commission

The Planning Commission meets in council chambers to consider requests from citizens and developers on issues such as rezonings, special use permits, major subdivisions, and street and alley closings.
City Council

The City Council meets at 7:00pm every second and fourth Tuesday of the month in Council Chambers (409 South Main Street). Meetings are open to the public.

This event held at Westover Park is geared toward being an introduction to triathlons. The focus of this event is completion over competition. All finishers receive a finisher medal. This event is open to ages 5-14.
