Youth Flag Football League
Registration has closed for the 2025 season. This program will be open to City residents, grades K-1 and 2-3 (2025-2026 school year). All necessary equipment will be provided with the exception of cleats and mouthpiece. Email Jordan.Cherry@harrisonburgva.gov or call 540-433-9168 for additional details.
- Season begins September 2, and is scheduled to conclude by October 23.
- Practices and games will be held at the Smithland Athletic Complex on the football field, on Monday and Wednesday evenings. K-1 league will meet from 5:45pm-6:30pm, and the 2-3 grade league will meet from 6:30pm-7:30pm.

Tackle Football League (Grades 4-5)
Registration has closed for the 2025 season. This program is open to City residents, grades 4-5 (2025-2026 school year). This program will take place in conjunction with Rockingham County Parks and Recreation. All necessary equipment will be provided with the exception of cleats. - Games will be held on either the Smithland Athletic Complex or the Rockingham County Park at the Crossroads.
- Copies of birth certificates are required upon registration.
- Equipment fitting will take place Saturday, July 26.
- Conditioning week takes place July 28-August 1.

Middle School Tackle Football League (Grades 6-7)
Registration has closed for the 2025 season. This program is open to City residents who attend either Thomas Harrison or Skyline Middle School, grades 6-7 (2025-2026 school year). VHSL physicals are required to participate. This league will play in conjunction with the high school junior varsity schedule against other Valley District teams. All necessary equipment will be provided except cleats. Practices begin August 25, games begin September 25.
