The City Council is the elected governing body of the City of Harrisonburg and is made up of five members elected at-large.
The City Council meets at 7:00pm every second and fourth Tuesday of the month in Council Chambers (409 South Main Street). Meetings are open to the public.
You can also watch council meetings on the Public Education Government Channel (Channel 3) or stream video online through the council media page. Meetings are broadcast live on the Public Education Government Channel and this website.
*The November 24, 2020 and December 22, 2020 City Council meetings are cancelled.

Language interpretation service in Spanish and Arabic is available for City Council meetings. To ensure that interpreters are available at the meeting, interested persons must request the accommodation at least four (4) calendar days in advance of the meeting by contacting the City Clerk at 540-432-7701 or by submitting a request online.
